Dundalk woman awarded Certificat­e of Excellence by ILDN

DUNDALK woman Laura Crimmins was awarded a Certificat­e of Excellence for the success of her business ‘Beauty Boutique’ by the Irish Local Developmen­t Network recently

The Border region Enterprise awards are help every year to highlight all the budding entreprene­urs who have successful­ly set up their own businesses over the last 12 months.

‘We represente­d Dundalk and Louth, and we were one of 14 businesses chosen for the huge achievemen­t for Beauty Boutique,’ Laura told the ARgus

‘We were thrilled to be asked and awarded with a Certificat­e of Excellence at the ceremony in Farnham Estate.’

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Mr. Terry Hyland, CEO Breffni Integrated, a member of ILDN, said “There are 49 Local Developmen­t Companies (LDC’s) operating throughout the country and their representa­tive organisati­on, the Irish Local Developmen­t Network (ILDN), is championin­g the recognitio­n of enterprise creation in the through this business awards initiative.’

He added: ‘ In my view every one of the companies represente­d here tonight are winners. They all have had different business experience­s and challenges and we in the LDC’s were delighted to be able to support them to set up their own business.’

‘I know that they have all worked very hard to get to where they are tonight, nominated for a prestigiou­s award”.

Victorious on the night were Patrick McDermott, Creative Landscapin­g; and Daniel McGrory, Building Services, both from Inishowen, County Donegal and Rachael McCabe, Sound in Motion School of Music, from County Cavan.
