PARISH NEWS

Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass. Remember in your prayers John Barnes, Pepperstow­n, Aileen Kirk (nee Breathnach), Inniskeen, Katherine

Lord, Drogheda/Limerick, Mary Wynne, Kilkerley, Brigid Kirk, Castlebell­ingham who died recently. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Church followed by Benedictio­n at 10.00p.m. Confession­s are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm-10.00pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request. Mass for children preparing for first penance and Holy Communion takes place on Saturday, November 9, at 7.30pm. The monthly calls to sick and house bound take place this Thursday, November 7. A Pastoral Area Mass for volunteers in all four parishes, celebrated by Bishop Michael Router will take place in Kilkerley at 7.00pm this Friday, November 8, followed by a meal and music in the Community Centre. The finance committee meet on Wednesday, November 13, at 8.00pm in the Parochial House. Mass for those who he died since last November takes place on Saturday, November 16, at 7.30pm. Light refreshmen­ts afterwards in the Centre. The Parish Pastoral Council meet on Wednesday, November 20, at 8.00pm in Knockbridg­e Parochial House. A mass for all babies who died either before or after birth, will take place on Friday, November 22, in Knockbridg­e. Parishione­rs from both parishes are welcome and refreshmen­ts afterwards in the Parish Centre.

PARISH CENTRE

Those wishing to book the Parish Centre for Funerals and other occasions, must contact Jean Myers directly at 042 9338670. Fr Gerry has asked a Sub Group and a few others to explore the upgrading of the Centre. An initial survey will be distribute­d over the next few weeks to all parishione­rs so they can input their views and suggestion­s. Next meeting is on Tuesday, October 29 at 8.00pm in the Centre.
