Lisdoo packed with party revellers
THE Lisdoo hosted a cracking Christmas Party night and by the time I got there the place was packed full of party revellers.
I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with sisters Loretta Byrne, Joanie and Paula McMullen, Patricia Clarke and Catherine McKenna all from Jonesboro who told me they were there for a wild and crazy night.
Making my way to an adjacent table where I got talking to some of the people from KSG the catering company in the DkIT and they included Breda Conachy from Lurgangreen, Brian McGuinness from Ashbrook, Barbara Gaynor from Oaklawns, Sean Cotter from Vincent Avenue, Shirley Murphy from Castle Heights, Sarah Poucher from Carrickmacross, Margaret Bailey from St. Alphonsus Road and Eva Okaos from Oldbridge who assured me they wouldn’t be casting a critical eye on the meal, they were just delighted to being having served for a change!
I then headed for the Emerald Stables table where I got talking to Donna Neary from Farndreg, Susan and Gary O’Gorman from Fr. Murray Park who told me they were waiting for the rest of the team to arrive and were looking forward a mad night.
After this I made my way over to the festive Air Wise Ventilation table who were in real party mode and included Paul Cooney from Ath Lethan, David Halpin from Ardee, David McCloskey from Knockbridge, Conor Lynch from Tullykeel and Tadhg O’Connor from Bellurgan who assured me it was going to be an insane night after the meal was over.
They were also with fellow workers Derrick Hulme from Jenkinstown, Declan Morgan and Carol Lynch both from Ardee and David Cooney from the Pearse Park Pirates and said he wasn’t too sure how the night was going, what with the Bellurgan Bushwackers being there and all!
After this I headed over for a chat with some of the Cuchullain Marshal Arts Club table where I got talking to Malcolm Ladley from Marian Park, Stephen McMahon from St. Nicholas Avenue and Derek McGuinness from Bay Estate who were there for a good night along with Cian Agnew from Garrybawn, Andrea, Glynn and Malcolm Ladley from Marian Park who were definitely up for making it a mad one.
Making my way through the crowds I then managed a few words at the HSE table and there I met up with Teresa Lipscombe from Virginia, Eileen Donnelly from Ardee, Kathleen and John Meade from Smarmore, John Baylon from Castleblaney, Alice Carroll from Oaklawns, Pauline Clifford from Oaklawn, Gary Gallagher from Castleblaney, Karen McBride from Termonfeckin and Derek Higgins from Ardee who were in party form and were just starting their meal when caught up with.
Meanwhile back over at the KSG catering company in the DkIT where I caught up with bosses Jenny Byrne from Bay Estate ad Sarah Poucher from Killen who were on for a major night of fun with Moore from Bay Estate who has recently finished her time with KSG and is heading back to Perth in Australia where she will
Icontinue in catering college, Kathleen Scanlon from Doolargy Avenue, Gillian Smith who has recently bought her new home in Kilkerley, Alex Mielniczuk from Langfield, Bada Brociskene from Togher and Virginia Lauba from Belfry Drive who were going to have a mad one and make sure that Caroline got the send off she truly deserved.
Finally, a big happy birthday goes out to Christina Myles from Monascrebe who was just after arriving in for a special celebration with husband Ian, kids Stephen and Rachel and friends Mickey and Teresa Hutchinson, Paul and Loretta Agnew from Doylesfort Road, Patricia Gray from Tom Bellew Avenue, Cora and Brian Farrell from Drogheda who were there to make sure she had a fantastic birthday.
