Party time for Arch Club members

-

ONE Christmas party I certainly wasn’t going to miss was the Arch Club party which took place in the Clans clubrooms last Friday night.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with my old mate Jim Corrigan from Dromiskin who told me he was having a laugh with DJ Jason Kelly who was playing all the best festive tunes all night long.

I then got a quick word with Pat ‘Santa’ Rafter from Gort Na Mara who was having a great night with Lisa Moran from Belfry Avenue and Annmarie O’Reilly from Gort Na Mara who told me it was definitely going to be a mad night.

Heading for a table close by I then got taking to a group who were over form Ardee specially for the party celebrations and they included Eamonn Toner, Richie Whelan, Darren O’Connell, Pat McGahon and Rachel Gregory who assured me they were going to make it a real night to remember with all their friends.

Who let the reindeer in I wondered? No, it was Brian Watters from Castletown Road in his Christmas jumper and antlers who couldn’t wait for everyone to get there so the real fun could get going.

Making my way over to another table I met up with Margaret, John and Joseph Smith from Manydown Close who were having a fantastic laugh with Peter Wall from Seatown and one man who certainly knows how to stir things up, Niall Gorham from Crescent 1 who was ready to party the night away.

Seated at an adjacent table I met up with David Doyle from Monasterboice who was sitting having a chat with Margaret Akintunde from Clogherhead and told me it was going to be a crazy night for certain.

Making my way through the crowds I then got talking to Stephen O’Rourke from Ashling Park, Kathleen Jenkins from Glenwood, Cayleigh and Cian O’Rourke from Ashling Park who were in great form and told me they were going to have a mad night for sure.

Next I got a word with Aoife Watters from Bay Estate who was with Emma Davis from Glenwood who were looking forward to plenty of dancing with all their friends during the night.

Beside them were Kathleen Jennings who was now talking to Maria Dunne and Siobhan Breen all from Glenwood who were joined by Lisa Moran ho wanted to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.

After this, I met up with Liam O’Reilly from Castle Road who was chatting to Mary Murphy from Pearse Park who were there to make the best of the celebrations.

I then got talking to Martin O’Connell from Castletowncooley who was in great form

Orla Clarke, Ciaran Maguire and Pauline Bromley.

xxxxxxxand ready to party the night away with all his friends.

One man who was far too busy to talk was Jim McAleer from Fr. Murray Park who was helping making sure the night ran smoothly.

Heading for another table I met up with Ciara Douglas originally from Donegal but now hanging her hat in Carlinn Hall and she was on for a night of fun with Mary O’Hare from Knockbridge, Mary McCartney from Mourne Vale, Kathleen Connolly from St. Nicholas Avenue and Alice O’Rourke from Ashling Park who are all committee members and were busy making sure the night was a huge success.

Finally, before I departed, I then got a word with Martina Dixon from Riverside Drive and Annmarie O’Reilly from

Gort Na Mara who was definitely making the most of Jason Kelly’s Christmas tunes on the dancefloor.
