A night of fashion, dance and music

-

THE annual fundraiser for St. Vincents School, Fashionably Talented, is always a great night and this year’s event at DkIT was no different. As always the place was packed to capacity for the night that included, fashion, dance and singing from the first and second year and Transition Year students.

I was only in the door when I met up with my neighbours Ciaran Pepper and Elaine Fergus from Parnell Park who were with daughter Niamh who were there to cheer on daughter Aoibhainn who was performing with 1 Heaney and they couldn’t wait to see her in action.

Next I headed over for a chat with Briege Quigley from Kilkerley who was with daughters Aisling and Ciara and told me they were there just to enjoy the night and cheer everyone on.,

Not too long later I managed a very quick word with cousins Leah and Mary McArdle both from Blackrock who were far too busy to talk, they were selling raffle tickets to everyone they could.

Next I headed over for a chat with Jet Gallagher from Stonetrough who was just in the door with parents Brian and Tracey who couldn’t wait to see their daughter Willow Gallagher who was going to be dancing with 1 Yeats.

Not too Far away I then met up with Michelle O’Shea from Blackrock, Emer and Sarah Holmes from Ravensdale and Carol Gallagher from Bellurgan who were there to see TY girls Amy Gallagher, Zara O’Shea and Isabel Holmes who were in action, during the evening, but alas, the ladies couldn’t tell me any more!

Esther Quinn, Aoife Finlay and Chloe Conlon.

Just in and looking for a couple of good seats were Yvonne and Roisin Preston from Knockbridge who told me Yvonne’s daughter Amy was performing with 1 Heaney and it was hugely proud moment for her.

After this I got talking to Pamela, Gavin and Leah Cairns from Avondale Park who told me Niamh is in TY and would be dancing along beside one of the dresses on show later on and they all couldn’t wait.

Making my way through the crowds I then got a word with Rosette and Carly Makin from Woodville Manor who told me that Natasha Mackin would be modelling her dress in the TY section later on and they’d definitely be cheering the loudest.

On the raised seating I then got a word with Pat and Sheila

Roche from Dunleer who were with daughter Siobhan and they were there to see her daughter Hannah Roche from Dunleer who was going to be in action with 1 Joyce and they couldn’t wait to see her.

After this I headed for a seated area where I met up with Vicky Bailey from Muirhevnamor, Elizabeth McCrave from Beechmount Drive, Rianna Dullaghan from Beechmount Drive and Debbie Flynn from Barton Park who were there to cheer 1Ledwidge and 1 Yeats girls, more specially Becky, Kayla and Dearbhla McCrave and Rebecca Flynn who were all dancing during the action packed show.

Also seated up in the raised seats were Mandy Hearty from Dromiskin who was with number one Dundalk FC fan Dominic Hearty and they were there to see Vanessa (TY) and Jessica (1 Heaney) who were both dancing and they couldn’t wait to see them perform. Beside them were Aileen and Fiona McGeough from Knockbridge who were there to cheer the loudest for Eileen in 2 Ciara and were realty looking forward to the whole show.

Finally, before I departed and the houselights went down, I got a word with Sean, Michelle, Darren, Laura and Nicole Murray from Kilcurry who were with Zoe Treacy from Hackballscross and Megan Hynes from Lordship who were there to see how Kelly Murray’s Green Christmas dress was looking on the stage and were there to cheer for her two.
