GREAT NIGHT HAD BY ALL IN LILLYWHITE LOUNGE

-

ONE party I certainly wasn’t going to miss over last weekend was the 40th birthday celebrations for Jim Corrigan from Dromiskin who was having a major bash in the Lilywhite Lounge in Oriel Park.

There to make sure Jim had an excellent night were his parents Paddy and Concepta, brothers Declan from Firhouse in Dublin, Patrick from Marian Park and granny Maureen McKeown from Navan and a huge collection of family and friends.

I decided to have a look round to see who was up for making the best of the night and met up with Louise Gilsenan and Fergal Nesbitt both from Dromiskin who wanted to wish a happy 40th to Dundalk FC’s number one supported and to say ‘mon de town’.

After this I got talking to Emma Coburn from Avenue Road and Leanne Woods from Dromiskin who wanted to wish all the best to their workmate Jim whom they work with in Applegreen Services.

The ladies were sitting beside Fiona Hamill from Stabannon and Sinead McDonald from Haggardstown who are ex workmates but wouldn’t have missed Jim’s party for anything.

I then headed over for a chat with Paul McCague from Marian Park, Ciara Higgins from Ashling, Darren Belton, Andrew Delaney and Jason Kelly from Cuchullain Terrace who were up for making it a fantastic night with their friend.

Not too long later I met up with John and Lynn McCartney from Baldoyle who were with Dundalk FC’s top supporter in Dublin, Gerry McCartney from Rialto and partner Eithne

Preston who were delighted to be there with their friend Jim.

Making my way through the crowds I came across the cousins table where I got talking to Alex Corrigan from Dublin, Brea Corrigan from Haggardstown, Eimear and Shane Farrell from Mullaharlin Road, Beanón and Eábha Corrigan from Haggardstown who were looking forward to a mad one with everyone there.

After this I headed for a table where I met up with a group who included Ursula and Eilish McKenna from Dromiskin, Barry Kane from Donegal, Alan Moore originally from Union Street now Dublin with Gillian McLoughlin, Roisin O’Byrne from Dunleer and Sinead Byrne from Mullacrew who told me they are all Dromiskin mates of Jim’s and assured me it was going to be anything but a quiet night.

Heading for the relatives table I then got talking to Colin and Fiona Corrigan from Haggardstown, Elaine and Eamon Farrell from Mullaharlin Road, Martin and Eilis Corrigan from Dublin who tried to tell me it was going to be a nice quiet respectable night!

Also in their company were uncles Derek McDermott and Pat McKeown from Navan, Concepta’s three sisters Anne, Mary and Caroline, brothers Pat, Donal and John and the main woman herself granny Maureen McKeown from Navan who wanted to wish Jim all the best on his 40th.

Finally, before I departed, I got a word with Mary and Stephen Caraher from Hoeys Lane who wanted to wish Jim all the best and told me it was going to be an excellent night.
