Council Covid-19 public guidelines

LOUTH County Council are calling on the public not to go into its offices during the current Covid19 restrictio­ns, but to use telephone and online services instead.

Cathaoirle­ach, Cllr Liam Reilly said that during the current public health emergency and the coronaviru­s pandemic, Louth County Council is asking members of the public to engage with its staff by telephone and/or email in the first instance.

‘You will be aware from recent government announceme­nts that our country is facing some challengin­g times. It has been incredible to see our nation pull together to ensure we slow the progressio­n of the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘As a Council, Louth County Council has taken measures to ensure essential services for the people of Louth are maintained while adhering to our government­s call for assistance. These services include: Water services – fresh clean drinking water, homeless services, fire services,’ said Cllr. Reilly.

‘While all other services will continue as appropriat­e, face-to-face interactio­ns with the public are being minimised on HSE advice.’

‘ The Council’s Executive are working with all major agencies to ensure every resource are made available. For those seeking assistance from the Council please continue to contact us via 1890 202303 and social media.
