The Alone organisati­on has launched a national support line for older people who have concerns or face difficulti­es relating to Coronaviru­s. Profession­al Staff are available to answer queries, give advice or reassuranc­e if necessary. This support line is open 7 days a week from 8.00am to 8.00pm and the number to call is 0818222024.

EMMETS GFC

Due the COVID 19 situation, the club men and ladies adult teams offer service to anyone in our Community, Member or Non-Member, who needs help with collecting groceries, prescripti­ons, etc. All requests will be treated in confidence. PARISH NEWS

Weekly parish envelopes can be left in the Church Porch on Saturdays from 5.00pm to 6.00pm, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.00am to 11.00am as Fr Gerry or Fr Brian will be in the Church at those times. All Confirmati­ons, First Communions, Baptisms, Wedding ceremonies are postponed until further notice. Attendance at funeral Masses should be limited to 10 persons of immediate family. A Live Streaming of Mass in the church takes place at 6.00pm on Saturdays. Log into: MCN Media, scroll to Rep. of Ireland then Co. Louth and then click on the image of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilkerley. This Mass will be offered for the anniversar­ies that have been booked for both Saturday and Sunday. Mass will also celebrated at 9.30am via webcam on Tuesdays and Thursdays for all parishione­rs and for those who have contracted the Coronaviru­s as well as for those who are caring for them at home or in hospital. If an elderly or vulnerable family member or neighbour would like Fr. Gerry or Fr. Brian to phone them for a chat or prayer please call the parish office , leave their name and number and Fr. Gerry or Fr. Brian will phone them. In keeping with data protection the phone number given will be used for this purpose only. Best wishes to parishione­rs who are in hospital, or in Nursing Homes or unwell at home presently. A reminder that all dead flowers/wreaths, excess waste from graves should be taken home and not left lying around the cemetery. The Trocaire boxes collection for both Knockbridg­e and Kilkerley Parishes totalled €5,673.44 an increase on last year of €1,266.44. Family tree healing mass takes place by Web Cam on Monday June 1, at 8.00pm preceded by the rosary.
