Thomas will be so rely missed by his family

THOMAS (Tom, Tommy) Mulholland, Ashling Park, Dundalk passed away suddenly at home on 22 May, 2020.

He began his working life in Macardle Moore Brewery in Dundalk. He then joined Murphy’s Coachbuild­ers as a paint sprayer where he remained until his first heart attack.

Thomas underwent a triple bypass almost 20 years ago which gave him a new lease of life.

He went for daily walks and took great care of himself. He would often be seen on a walk pushing one of his grandchild­ren or picking one of them up from school.

Thomas came from a large family of 9 brothers and two sisters.

In his younger days he was part of the Cardinal Dalton Running Club until family life took over when he married Claire and they had their 3 children, Andrew, Karen and Kelly.

He enjoyed painting and decorating for his children over the years and took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed going on holidays with his children and grandchild­ren.

Thomas will be sorely missed by his wife of 47 years, Claire; son, Andrew; daughters, Karen and Kelly; daughter-in-law, Fiona; son-in-law, Barry; grandchild­ren, Mark, Emma, Ryan and Megan; brothers, Brendan, Donald, Eamonn, David and Dermot; sisters, Eilish and Tricia; brothersan­d sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

He was predecease­d by his parents and brothers, Gerard, Cathal and Michael.

Thomas’ remains were removed from Quinn’s Funeral Home to St Nicholas Church where his grandchild­ren brought up the symbols of his life.

Readings were by his grandson, Mark and son-in-law, Barry.

Prayers of the faithful were read by his grandchild­ren, Ryan and Emma; brother, David and nephew, Darren.
