Residents urged to keep it local

-

Blackrock retailers are encouraging residents to keep business local following the move to Phase 3 of the COVID-19 re-opening plan this week.

Many remaining small businesses who had not yet opened were able to return to business on Monday.

‘ We have already seen a lot of footfall come back to the village as part of Phase 2 and now that we are fully in summer mode Phase 3 re-opening is very welcome.”’said Blackrock Tourism and Development chairperson Aine Corcoran. ‘ We have been in keeping in touch with our business members regularly for their status updates and we would like to welcome locals and tourists alike back to our beautiful village.’

‘ The Blackrock Tourism and Development Group would like to encourage everyone in the village to support our local businesses and to shop local where possible. These small businesses are the lifeblood of the village and a spend now could make the difference between survival in 2020 or not.’
