MASS RESUMES

Thankfully things are getting back to some normality as this coming Wednesday Public Mass will resume in The Church Of The Immaculate Conception Louth. Mass will be celebrated at 9.30am and this will be followed by Exposition Of The Blessed Sacrament and adoration at 10am until one pm. As Wednesday is also the Feast day of St. Oliver Plunket a saint with close connection­s with the parish there will be Rosary and Benedictio­n at 7pm at Ardpatrick of course if weather permits. Then next weekend Masses return at normal times in Louth on Saturday at 7.30pm and Sunday at 10.am and Sunday in Stonetown at 11.30am. Please note the Priest and Eucharist Ministers will be wearing face masks Please note everyone entering the Church should use the Hand Sanitisers which will be provided and if anyone wishes to wear face mask please do.

COMMUNITY HUB GRANT

There was great news this week concerning the Louth Village Community Hub when it was announced that they received their final grant from Louth County Council to the sum of €16,958.00. This final grant means the hard working committee can now clear any bridging loan debts. The original principal grant for refurbishm­ent which came from Louth leadership Partnershi­p was €130,292.33. which was the tendered amount. This left a shortfall €50,384.93 as the final constructi­on was €180, 677..25. Also the amount raised by this hard working committee through their own resources was €33426.92. The committee would like to thank everyone who helped in anyway such as sponsorshi­p fund raising to leave the hub debt free. We congratula­te the committee on their fantastic work and wish them all the best for the future.

WALKWAY OPEN

The good news also continues with the announceme­nt that from last Monday St. Mochtas walkways have re-opened, They will be available from 2pm until approx 10pm daily. Walkers are to observe current rules and regulation­s such as walking in one direction and keeping social distance.

MOCHTA’S DRAW

St. Mochtas 50/50 fundraisin­g returns this week. Envelopes can be had from all local shops or from any committee member. The club would be grateful for your support. The first draw will take place this coming Friday in their club rooms. The club thank for your support.

Also this week training for the players recommence­d after all regulation­s were fulfilled.

LAST ORDERS FOR EAMO’S

One sad announceme­nt this week was the closure of Eamos bar after nine wonderful and enjoyable years. Eamo would like to thank all his customers for their wonderful support over the years and we would join with all his previous customers and thank for the good times we all had and we wish Eamo, Sinead and Orla all the best for the future.
