ANOTHER rain disrupted week in the 6-person team championsh­ip forced an alteration in the original format of play. With some teams lagging well behind in play time, the average score from all the scores submitted (22 pts) has been accredited to all team members, which will bring rounds One and Two to a close. Play will be extended for an extra-week (Week 5) after which the top 8 teams will qualify for the quarter-finals knock out stage of the tournament. The last of the three qualifying days in our November Friday Open Series will take place next Friday Nov 20 with places in the top 40 plus ties extends from 42 points down to 32 points.

Week Two on Friday saw 10 players progress into the top 40 at the expense of those who were sitting on 30 and 31 points losing their places in the Nov 27 Grand Final. in the table are; Michael Concannon Jnr (10) Greenore 39, Joe Carroll (19) Cloverhill 39, Patrick Niland Jnr (19) and Rory Niland (18) both Concra Wood 36, Gerard S O Neill (7) Forrest Little 34, Colm Markey Cloverhill 34, Andrew Jenkinson (7) Roganstown 33 pts, Stephen Browne (18) 33, Emmett Fearon (14) Cloverhill 32 and Mark Shevlin (16) Cloverhill 32.

The top 40 scores (plus ties) from the three Qualifying Fridays will form the line-up for the Grand Final for which the following prizes will be on offer Winner- €150 R-up -€125 Third- €100 Fourth- €75 Fifth -€50

Our 21 Goal Pontoon Goal Buster club fundraiser will resume this coming Saturday Nov 21 when the Premier League resumes after the Internatio­nal break, which means all entries must be in before 12 noon on that Saturday. As a token of our appreciati­on for those people who continuall­y support our 21 Goal Pontoon Buster the winners prize this time will be a £/€1000 (payable in the currency tendered). N.B. There is also a €200 prize for the person with the lowest amount of goals when the 21 goals have been reached.

For those who have not played before all you do is pick a Premiershi­p team each week (once a team is picked they cannot be used again) and the first team to 21 goals on the button wins the money (p.s.all teams have the opportunit­y to play an equal amount of matches). Adrian had picked the following 6 golfers Justin Thomas,Dustin Johnston, Jon Rahm, Brooks Keopka, Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama who combined for a winning combined total of -71 which was just one shot ahead of Alan Tasker and Linda Cargin. It will not be long until the next Masters in April.
