Mum (31) killed in Glebe car crash
THERE was huge shock at the tragic death of Dundalk woman Sarah Louise Larkin (31) after a car crash outside Ardee on Saturday.
The mum of two worked as a deli assistant at Applegreen.
Friends took to social media to express their sorrow at her loss, describing her as a ‘ beautiful kind caring person’ and that their hearts were broken.
Gardaí attended the scene of the fatal single vehicle road traffic collision at approximately 8:50pm on Saturday, on the N2 at Glebe, between Ardee and Carrickmacross.
Sarah was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle involved, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The N2 at Glebe remained closed in both directions for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators into Sunday.
Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, Ardee based Dolores Minogue, said: ‘It is another death on our roads and I send my deepest condolences to Sarah’s family and friends. It is such shocking news, especially in these COVID times, and is so hard for those that loved her.’
Sarah was originally from Dundalk, but had been living in Ardee.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward and are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí. They are also appealing to any occupants of a white car travelling from the direction of Carrickmacross towards Ardee at approximately 8:50pm to make contact with Gardaí.

Due to the current Government restrictions regarding social gatherings, Sarah’s funeral mass will be private for family and close friends with church numbers at 25.
