Welcome €105,000 funding for Ardee company

Not for Profit Ardee Community Developmen­t Company Ltd has been awarded €105,420 as part of an allocation from Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar TD in a latest funding round.

Fergus O’Dowd TD revealed that €500k has been awarded to four enterprise centres in County Louth, including €140k for the Mill Enterprise Hub in Drogheda.

He added that the Ardee Community Developmen­t Company Ltd has been awarded €105,420, Creative Spark CLG in Dundalk has been awarded €108,000 and the DKIT Regional Developmen­t Centre has been awarded €146,170.

O’Dowd said, ‘ This funding will be essential considerin­g the devastatin­g effects of COVID-10 has had on business and in particular on start-ups that were in the early stages of progressio­n.

‘We already know the important role our enterprise centres provide locally, but this funding will give them a massive boost going into the new year.

‘Centres such as the Mill provide great support and business knowledge to fledgling companies and provide a profession­al and comfortabl­e setting for business leaders and entreprene­urs.

‘Enterprise centres and hubs are embedded in our local communitie­s and provide long term employment opportunit­ies and encouragem­ent for businesses to locate in close proximity.

‘ This fund will assist in implementi­ng a recovery plan for businesses within their remit over the next six to twelve months. Tánaiste Leo Varadkar added: ‘I am really pleased to make this funding available through my Department. This will help enterprise centres across the country to modernise facilities and to help secure much needed jobs.’
