Daire and KatieAnne to livestream free concert
Local musicians Daire Stanley and KatieAnne Bolger will be live-streaming a free concert from their home Friday night at 8pm via An Táin Arts Centre’s Facebook Live.
Daire and KatieAnne are Dundalk-based musicians who both are both graduates of DkIT.
Daire is from Blackrock and has been performing locally since he was a teenager and has played with such local acts as Nix Moon, The Beached Whales and The Trampz to name a few. Daire is a drummer by trade and has been performing both nationally and internationally for many years.
KatieAnne is a Navan native and has lived here in Dundalk for ten years since she studied music at DKIT
She is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who has had many performances locally with various groups and as a solo act.
‘We met during our studies of Applied Music at DkiT and have been together since,’ says Daire. ‘We will be performing a mix of covers and originals. We have played together as a duo a few times at friends’ weddings and in collaboration with other musicians, this will be our first live stream together.’
Since graduating they have worked on a variety of individual and collaborative musical projects, including teaching at the Blackrock Academy of Music.
They now invite you into their home for a night by fireside, where they will perform an eclectic selection of covers and original music in their first ever live stream gig.
This is a free event, and no booking is required.
