Noah releases single
BUDDING young musician, Noah Rafferty has certainly had an incredible few weeks, culminating in the release of his first single ‘ Rock is the Best Medicine.’
The 10 year old from Louth Village made headlines when he recently performed on this years Late Late Toy Show with his original song ‘Rock Is The Best Medicine.’
On the back of this Noah has decided to release a full version of his song on Monday 14th of December.
Noah got the nation ‘Rockin’ with his ‘ The Late Late Toy Show’ performance and U2’s The Edge was blown away by the young man’s ability to write songs and gifted him with one of his own guitar’s singed by the worldwide star himself.
Noah’s first single showcases rocking lyrics and an extremely catchy chorus. The track is built up by an incredible full band and the arrangement will guarantee to have fans rocking out throughout.
Rock is the best medicine is available on Itunes, Spotify, YouTube and available to stream across all music platforms. A music video is also streaming now on youtube.
Speaking about his extraordinary success, Noah said: ‘I remember being 5 and hearing a song on the radio, it was Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean,’ and I’ve been obsessed with music ever since.’
He describes his musical influences as Queen, Elton John, U2 and Journey, adding ‘I really love 80s rock its my favourite genre its just so powerful.’
He said his dream is to become a recording artist, but ultimately he ‘wants to help charity and bring smiles to people’s faces and show them the feeling that rock and music can bring.’
He wrote the song during the first lockdown. ‘ The pandemic was really hard on everyone and I wanted to show them that the way to get better was to have a great time.’
Performing on the ‘ Toy Show’ was ‘a dream come true, said Noah. ‘I’ve always loved the Late Late Toy Show, and decided I wanted to perform on it last year after watching the Freddy and Elton number... it was
right up my street, so I sent in an audition video and that was the start of the most amazing experience of my life! I absolutely loved every second of it.’
Life has changed for Noah since his RTE debut. ‘People recognise me on the street and tell me that I was brilliant on the show.... they all want to hear more! I’ve had some fanmail too.. people telling me how I brightened their day its amazing. People just keep singing Rock is the Best Medicine to me when they see me. My school gave me a guard of honour, and everyone wants to know about Edges Guitar and what my other songs are. There’s been so so many posts on social media its crazy... it’s like the whole of Ireland is shouting Rock On!’
