CARE OF CHURCHES
Father Duffy, the Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Committee of the Parish of Lordship and Ballymascanlon would like to express our sincere appreciation to those who since the start of the year, despite our Churches being closed for public worship, have continued to care for them.
Many thanks to all who have continued to clean and sanitise our churches and to those who have organised suitable floral and other arrangements during the Season of Lent. Your efforts have made our churches safe and meaningful places for private worship and for funerals.
May God bless you and reward you for your dedication
CLEAN UP IN JENKINSTOWN
The Footpath Project Committee to show off the daffodils in Jenkinstown and to advertise a litter pick up coming up?
Over 1000 bulbs were planted in November by volunteers from the Footpath Project Committee members, Tom McCrystal, Frank Duffy, Colm Holmes, Jimmy Hughes, Siobhan Mackin, Paula Roddy and Bernie MacErlane
The locals are enjoying the beauty of the daffodils now ….they have given residents a morale boost as well as promoting biodiversity.
Thanks to the community for continuing to support the footpath fund in the shop which will all go towards the next section of footpath.
‘We want to encourage locals to come out to do a clean up around the Jenkinstown, Bellurgan, Dawestown, Rockmarshall area on Saturday 17th April to meet at the chapel car park 2.30pm
Covid rules mean we can work in strictly in pairs from two different households only and must wear masks.
If people have their own hi viz jackets and litter pickers/gloves that would be great but some will be supplied if they don’t have them. Bags will be supplied.
