GAA sets out fixture schedule

LOUTH’S inter-county teams have a clearer fixture schedule to prep for when they return to training next week.

Senior county teams are permitted to get back training from next Monday, April 19th, and it has been revealed that the season will kick off on the weekend of May 22nd/23rd.

Mickey Harte’s men and Paul McCormack’s hurlers will begin their National League campaigns that weekend, while Wayne Freeman’s ladies team will return to competitive action a week later with a trip to Leitrim.

All three sides are then in action the following weekend.

The male footballers and hurlers get the bank holiday weekend off as the ladies complete the round robin stage of their campaign at home to Derry.

All going well the senior footballers will be playing for promotion on the weekend of June 12th/13th.

Both the footballers and hurlers will be in Championship action on the weekend of June 26th/27th, while the ladies will be hoping they are involved in the Division 4 League final that same weekend.
