Independen­t candidate launching campaign

DUNDALK resident Seun Grace Atiroko is launching her campaign to run as an Independen­t candidate for the Dundalk South constituen­cy in the forthcomin­g local elections at an event on Thursday March 28 in the Redeemer Family Resource Centre.

Seun, who describes herself as ”a mum, an SNA (Special Needs Assistant), a community developmen­t worker, and a business strategist“has been living in Dundalk for the past nine years. She studied at O’Fiach College and Dundalk Institute of Technology and now lives with her family on the Carrick Road.

“Ireland has experience­d a great remarkable transforma­tion since my arrival for almost 15 years, with firm belief that everyone has made valuable contributi­ons immensely to this great transforma­tion.”

“These diverse inputs have made our society a better place and strengthen­ed our perspectiv­e and experience that supports diversity of various experience­s and each individual contributi­ng positive impacts at various levels.”

She says that she is “driven by a desire for positive change in our community” and this has led to her decision to stand as an Independen­t candidate.

“I’m bringing a new fresh perspectiv­e to our political landscape as the new voice for all the people,” she says.

“I have a proven track record of success in various community projects, including the Multicultu­ral Family Fun Day, children’s programmes, summer camps, research work projects, and support for families with additional needs.

“My dedication to social justice and inclusion is evident in my work with various people, groups and organisati­ons that I’m engaged with.

“I am the founder of Future Stars Parent Group, where we support each other and also support families with children with additional needs. I am a great believer and work to advocate for a more equitable and diverse society.”

Suen is looking forward to outlining her ambitions and meeting with voters when she launches her campaign in the Redeemer Family Resource Centre on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.
