Barbara Clarke (née Long), Lucan Heights, Lucan, Dublin and formerly of Irish Grange, Carlingfor­d, whose death occurred on April 7, 2024, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Marymount Care Centre, Westmansto­wn. Beloved wife of the late Kevin and much loved mother of Grainne, Joanne and the late Sean. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons-in-law Mark and Tom, grandchild­ren Tony, David, Gary, Ian, Eva, Kevin, Louis and Lee, sister Teresa, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rememberin­g Barbara’s siblings who have passed before her. Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm. Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Lucan on Thursday morning arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Cemetery, Lucan. Family flowers only, please. Brendan Callan, Dooradoyle, Limerick, and formerly Dundalk, late of LIT (Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineerin­g), whose death occurred on April 6, 2024, peacefully, in the loving care of his family, after a long illness of many years borne with patience and courage. Much loved husband of Mary and deeply loved father of Aedín, Brian, Fionnuala, Eoghan, Eimear and Hugh. Deeply missed by their partners Paul, Trinh, James, Mary, Stephen and Sarah, his 15 grandchild­ren, his brother Kevin, sisters Úna, Sheila, Michêle, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, colleagues and friends. Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday in St Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle, at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in Castlemung­ret Cemetery, Mungret. Family flowers, only. Donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre.

Eileen Grant (née McArdle), Glenmore Park, Muirhevnam­or, Dundalk, and Dunleer, whose death occurred on April 7, 2024, peacefully, in the love and tender care of St. Oliver’s Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Predecease­d by her husband Peter, parents John and Elizabeth (late of Ravel, Dunleer) and her niece Elizabeth Keaskin. She will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons John and Joey, daughters-inlaw Nadine and Lorraine, her adored grand-sons Bobby and Sheá, sisters Margaret Keaskin, Alice Cunningham and Anne Carolan, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, friends and neighbours. Removal from Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Wednesday at 10.30am to St. Mary’s Church, Kilsaran, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Kilsaran Old Cemetery.

Martin Daly, ‘Ros Mhuire’, Knocknagor­an, Omeath, whose death occurred on April 6, 2024, peacefully, at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family. Predecease­d by his beloved wife Mona. Very deeply regretted by his loving daughter Gráinne, sons Patrick and Declan and his partner Lynn, granddaugh­ters Georgia and Abbie and all his relatives, neighbours and friends. A Funeral service to celebrate Martin’s life will be held at Dardistown Crematoriu­m, Dublin, (Eircode K67 HP26) on Thursday at 1:30pm. No flowers or Mass cards, please.

Sean Hoey, Greenacres, Dundalk, whose death occurred on April 6, 2024. Sean, loving husband of Anne (née McSorley), dear dad of Catherine, Fiona, Séan and Dara, granda of Stephen, Hannah, Tara, Gemma, Grace, Andrew, Ellen and Jake. Sean will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, grandchild­ren, sons-inlaw Gerry, Stephen, Niall, daughter-in-law Carmel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Mary Connolly (née McDonald), St. Alphonsus Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred on April 5, 2024, peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predecease­d by her husband Arthur, parents Jack and Bridget, sister Margaret, brothers Peter, Paddy and Johnny in January of this year. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons and daughters John, Margaret, Brendan and Louise, sons-in-law Rafael, Niall and Anthony, her adored grandchild­ren Ciarán, Anna, Jack, David and Niamh, sister in-law May McDonnell, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

Michael Rogan, Mullavalle­y, Louth Village, whose death occurred on April 2, 2024, peacefully, at home. Predecease­d by his parents Patrick and Mary, brothers Nicky, Eugene and Stephen, sisters Alice, Mary, Rose, Kitty, Maisie and Anna (infancy). Brenda Schuls (née Gregory), Walterstow­n, Castlebell­ingham, and Drogheda, whose death occurred on April 3, 2024, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Predecease­d by her parents Peter and Cáit (late of Ballsgrove, Drogheda). Very deeply regretted by her loving family, her husband Siert, daughter Katie, granddaugh­ter Ailbhe, son-in-law Robbie, brother Paul and sister Mandy, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Paul (Benny) Byrne, Loughantar­ve, and formerly of Stephensto­wn, Knockbridg­e, whose death occurred on April 2, 2024. Paul, son of the late Paddy and Mary (née Rooney), loving father of Rachel, Rachel’s Mum Michelle, granda of Aoibhe, dear brother of Kevin, Rita, Anne, David, Carol, Irene and Teresa. Paul will be sadly missed by his daughter, granddaugh­ter, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law Owenie, Gerry, Brian, Ciaran, and Gerry, sister-in-law Avril, aunties May Martin and Carmel Lennon, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Syl Durnin, Árd Easmuinn, Dundalk, whose death occurred on April 2, 2024, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the kind and gentle care of the staff in Silverstre­am Nursing Home. Syl was the beloved husband of the late Teresa (née Hearty). Loving dad of Mary and Ken, devoted granda of Mark, Jenny, Orla and Sean, beloved great-granda of Méabh, Joe and Inis, Syl will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his children, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, daughter-In-law Elaine, Mark’s wife Grace, Jenny’s husband Rory, Orla’s partner Sean, sister Marie, sisters-in-law, brotherin-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends and by all who knew and loved him.
