Susan and Gary enjoy their 50th

-

On Saturday night we headed for Corbett’s Bar where a special joint 50th birthday party was taking place for husband and wife Gary and Susan O’Gorman from Fr. Murray Park and a huge crowd had turned out to make sure they had an epic night.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met birthday girl Susan who said her parents Deirdre and Joe Bradley from Fr. Murray Park were there along with sisters Jean from Dromiskin and Pauline from Carlinn Hall, Gary’s dad Ray O’Gorman from Toberona, sister Jacqueline from Laurel Grove and son Brian from Greenacres and she wanted a special mention for her besties Caroline McCaul-Watters from St. Clements Park and Patricia Carolan from Drumconrath and to say she hoped everyone had a great night.

I then decided to see who else was there and headed for a table where I met up with Eileen O’Grady originally from Offaly now from Mullaharlin Pak and Margaret Rogers also from Mullaharlin Park who said they are friends of Susan’s and were up for making it a mad night with her.

They were also in the company of Lisa Dalton from Athboy and Nadine Cleary from Mounthamilton who told me she is a workmate of Susan in the Louth County Hospital and her partner Chris Holt from Mounthamilton actually works with Gary in Moffett too, so they were sure it was going to be a cracking night at the 50th.

Heading for another table I then met uncle Ambrose and Jacqueline O’Hanlon who were having a great laugh with Margaret Martin from Cluan Enda and Susan’s parents Deirdre and Joe Bradley from Fr. Murray Park who said that it was a great party and they all wanted to wish Gary and Susan all the best on their big night.

Not too far away I had the pleasure of meeting up with Gareth and Susan Loughran who are the next door neighbours of the happy couple who were in good form and said they hope they had a lovely night, just as long as they didn’t keep them up all night partying!

Making my way to another table I was happy to meet Kate Mone from Medebawn who was having a laugh with Nicola Kerr also from Medebawn, Frances Kerr from Hyde Park and Karen Kerr from Barrack Street who told me they are all relations of Gary’s and were having a fantastic night with the happy couple.

After this I headed over for a word with Keith Dunne and Susan’s sister Pauline from Carlinn Hall who were up for making a night of it with Gary’s dad Ray, sister Jackie and son Brian who wanted to wish the couple a very happy 50th.

I then got a quick word with family friends Aidan Bolton from Glenwood and Catherine McBride from Cooley Park who said they were delighted to be there and assured me it was going to be a good night.

Also in their company were Susan’s bestie Caroline and her husband Paul Watters from St. Clements Park and Caroline wanted it know that she was happy to be there for her older friend!

Not too long later I got quick word with Gary’s sister Jean O’Gorman from Dromiskin who was having a right old night of it with cousins Regina Lavery from Bay Estate and Aine Gorham from Brook Street who assured me the party was only just getting going and it was going to be an epic night.

Finally, before we departed I headed for a table where I met Valentas Daunius and Asta Cesniene from Cullyhanna who were in the company of Patricia and Trevor Carolan from Drumconrath who told me once they all got together, it was always a brilliant night and wanted to wish Gary and Susan a very happy 50th.
