Historic day for Blackwater Community School, Lismore
This Monday, September 26th the new extension became a hive of activity with students and staff moving across for classes for the first time.
There was a great buzz throughout the day, and many were truly impressed by the brightness, space and the opportunities and possibilities that the new practical classrooms now affords them. The best of luck to all in the new extension.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AND AWARD SCHEME IN BLACKWATER COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Blackwater Community School, Lismore has for the past 20 years celebrated and acknowledged the success of our 6th Year students through our annual Student Academic Awards. We are committed to Quality Education and acknowledging the success of our students by providing them with the opportunity to receive gold medals specific to subject achievement and sponsorships for their chosen career paths.
We value our sponsors and patrons ongoing support in acknowledging excellence and outstanding contributions made by our students in both State examinations and community endeavours. This award scheme enables the school to foster a culture of community partnership and connectedness and has proven a significant date in our school calendar.
This year we are delighted to be hosting the awards ceremony on Friday, November 11th in our newly refurbished sports hall. We again wish to thank our existing patrons and welcome any member of our local community to become involved in this worthwhile event.
