Walter Cole wins President's Prize

At the weekend we had our final major for 2023. Our President’s Prize presented by Mr Denny Cole was held and what a weekend it was! Doneraile Golf Club had a fantastic three days. Over 130 players took to the fairways of Doneraile at the weekend to compete for a beautiful array of prizes. The course was in tremendous condition. Thank you to course manager Pius, Seamus, John and the volunteers for all their hard work. Vice-captain Walter Cole (Denny's nephew) emerged as the overall winner of President Denny's Prize with a fantastic score of 43 points.

Thanks to Mary, Mike and the Roche family for the beautiful food and excellent service provided throughout the weekend. Our thanks to the ladies for their beautiful flower arrangements.

A great turnout for a great competition, with fantastic scores. Well done to all who competed and congratulations to vice-captain Walter and all the prize winners. There was a great atmosphere around the clubhouse all weekend. The large turnout for the presentation of prizes on Sunday night is a testament to how well our president Denny is regarded by our members. Beautiful finger food was provided by the Roche family. Thanks to Con Collins who provided the entertainment. Everyone danced the night away to fantastic music with great variety for those in attendance.

A big thank you to Denny and the Cole family for hosting this special event, and ensuring that all members enjoyed the golf and prize presentation. A special thank you to anyone who helped in any way to make president Denny's weekend so successful.

LADIES FIXTURES CHRISTMAS HAMPERS

Our Christmas Hampers competition will commence today Thursday, 2nd November and run until Sunday, 12th November. This will be a 12 hole competition. Play once only.
