Once Loved Once Worn back in the 'Boro

- KATIE GLAVIN

Once Loved Once Worn is back with a bang on November 25 in Anglesboro Hall.

The event is set to be the second one hosted locally and will see locals selling new or once-worn dresses and clothing at what has been described as a 'real life Depop shop'.

In the summer, local sisters Aine and Clodagh McGrath came up with the idea for the pop-up shop based on sustainable fashion which turned out to be a great success.

"After the demand and success of the summer event, we are back. It's basically a Christmas Market full of dresses, all brand new with tags or worn once to an occasion and never again," Aine told TheAvondhu.

The sustainable fashion initiative will not only see those hoping to sell their occasionwear but will also see busking and other traders getting involved.

Once Loved Once Worn will see Rosie Kenneally busking at the event with vendors on the day selling candles, flowers, coffee, handmade jewellery, reflexology and more.

"It's going to be a girlie day out with a fun atmosphere before Christmas. There will be lots of local traders and hopefully lots of new faces too," Aine added.

Despite initially planned by the local sisters as a once-off event to swap out and reuse occasion wear which often only sees the light of day once or twice, the first Once Loved Once Worn saw such a strong turnout and high demand that plans quickly got underway for a winter event.

Speaking with The A vondhu at the time, Aine and Clodagh said that they were 'blown away' by the response and feedback.

It is expected that around 15 sellers will be there on the day with sizes ranging from 6-18 catering to all tastes from going-out dresses to, co-ords, wedding guest dresses and more.

Once Loved Once Worn, 'the winter edition', takes place at Anglesboro Hall (V35 V126) on Sunday, November 25, from 11am until 2pm.
