Knockadea National School closes the curtain on a brilliant year at T.O. Park

-

Just last night the children of this great school, the best there is in the entire region, put on a Christmas concert which will be the talk of the town for months to come.

The hall was packed to capacity as the children burst onto the stage opening with their version of the Xfactor. Hugely entertaining they sang and danced with great gusto. Each with their own very special talent on display for all to see and marvel.

Act after act, they kept us entertained for well over two hours. A credit first of all to their parents and then of course to their wonderful teachers and helpers speaheaded by their dynamic electric and hugely talented principal, Mr Jack O’Toole. In just a couple of years he has caterpulted this gem of a school to new heights. Long may this continue.

What a way to end one of the best years ever at the park doing so much for so many in so many ways and reaching out to all.

The trips at home and away during ’23 have all reached new levels with an ever increasing number travelling around all over Ireland and worldwide, all set to continue and indeed be extended in ’24.

The latest foreign trip to beautiful tropical Madeira just a couple of weeks ago was quite simply amazing. Those who travelled loved it, all asking where to, in ‘24. Watch this space.

Just last Saturday it was a day trip with a full coach to lovely Galway for its famous Christmas markets. What a day of fun happiness and enjoyment. The sing song on the coach home lasted from Galway to Hospital.

NEW YEARS EVE SPECIAL AT T.O. PARK

Sunday, December 31st will for certain be very special and very different at the park. That evening the wonderful Eileen O’Brien will arrive from Bulgaden, Kilmallock with her entire entourage to stage her famous new year’s eve party and big dance in the hall at the park. She will have the great Declan Aungier on stage at 9pm. Entry will still be only €10 with lovely Christmas fare, including food and refreshments.

All Eileen’s friends and supporters will travel up to the park that night. But you are all invited to be there, no matter where you come from. It is of course open to all and at entry €10 how could you find better.

Nobody can turn it on like Eileen, an amazing piece of dynamism, be there you will find out, most of all you will love what she does and how well she does it.

So now all roads lead to the park on new years eve to herald ’24 in style. Doors open from 7pm. Don’t miss the night of the year. Be there.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR

On behalf of all at the Park and our array of friends and supporters from so many places around Ireland and abroad, T.O. wishes to extend to you all best wishes for a very happy Christmas and all of the very best for new year ’24. He says it’s going to be a unique special year at the park with so much more happening. Watch this space.

Finally, a big thank you to all at TheAvondhu especially Lily for all the help and support over the past year.
