A two-day event run last Friday and Saturday saw almost 40 Irish stallion farms nationwide open their gates to lovers of all things equine, all part of the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) Irish Stallion Trail for 2024.

Although the weather was challenging at times, breeders and racing fans had a unique opportunity to view an array of stallions with several local studs included as part of the trail – these included: Castlehyde Stud, Coolagown Stud, Foxwood Stud, Glenview Stud, Grange Stud, Kedrah House Stud, Rathbarry Stud and The Beeches Stud.

A completely free event, visitors had the option of registering which studs they intended visiting. Since its inception back in 2014, the ITM Irish Stallion Trail has grown to now include a record 37 stallion farms with over 5,000 visitors expected for this year’s event.
