CLOTHES COLLECTION

Clothes collection in aid of St Michael’s National School, Ballyduff Upper on Wednesday 21st (6.30-8.30pm) and Thursday 22nd (9-9.30am) February at the GAA dressing rooms, Ballyduff.

Please include only clean, reusable clothing, bedding, curtains, shoes and handbags. Please no duvets or pillows, soiled textiles or bric-a-brac. Items can be collected if required, contact any member of the parents’ associatio­n (Thomas O’Mahony, Olive Feeney, Ailish Browne, Sinead Berry) to arrange. These collection drives have successful­ly raised much-needed funds for the school in the past; thank you for your support.

SWIM 4 CAROLINE PRESENTATI­ON OF FUNDS

The presentati­on of the funds raised for the Gavin Glynn Foundation with the Swim 4 Caroline will take place this Saturday, 10th February in St Michael’s Hall at 7.30pm. All are welcome!

The next draw is on 6th February with a jackpot of €9,600. Tickets are available from Bridget’s Hair Salon, An Síbín, The Log Cabin, Eugene Flynn, Shane Hannon and online. They are also available after Mass on Sunday’s across from the church. Sinéad Design and Crafts in the newly restored Storehouse is also now selling lotto tickets. BUS SERVICE

The bus service is still available in the village. On Friday, it goes to Dungarvan; every second Tuesday it alternates to Youghal or Midleton. This service is run by Local Link, free for those with a travel pass and €5 for anyone else.

Also, the “Booze Bus” service is available every Saturday night. Please call Austin O’Brien for these services on 0872256666 to book your space.
