Kildorrery our next opposition in North Cork HL
There was a great atmosphere around Castletownroche village on Sunday last, with the first St Patrick’s Day parade, organised by the Castletownroche Events committee. A huge crowd lined the route and it was great to see so many people participate in the parade. The GAA Club was very well represented, with the adult and juvenile sections taking part. Thankfully, the weather held up and after the conclusion of the parade a large crowd assembled in the hall for refreshments and were entertained by musicians and dancers. A huge thanks to all of the volunteers in the Events committee for organising yet another memorable event.
JUVENILE REGISTRATION
Many thanks to everybody who has registered for the upcoming year with Castletownroche Juvenile GAA. For anyone who has yet to complete registration for the coming year, please get in touch with the coaches for your age group and ensure your child is registered.
HURLING LEAGUE
Castletownroche play their second game in the North Cork Hurling League Group 2 when they play Kildorrery under lights in Kildorrery on Tuesday next, March 26th. Throw-in is scheduled for 7.30. All support is greatly appreciated.
CLUB LOTTO
The next club lotto draw takes place on Monday night, March 25th, in The Rockforest Bar, with the jackpot now standing at €8,900. Tickets are available through local retail outlets in the village, from your usual sellers or through any club officer.

REBELS’ BOUNTY 2024
Enrolment for the 2024 Rebels’ Bounty draw is now open and the closing date for entry is March 28th. This is one of our main fundraising focuses for the year, with the club and county both benefitting from the sign-ups. We hope to retain all of our members for the coming year and hopefully add some new members in to the bargain. Over the past three years, we have had four winners in the draw, each winning a €250 prize. Hopefully, we can continue our lucky streak this coming year. All proceeds from every new member who joins the draw will go to Castletownroche GAA Club. Draws take place on a monthly basis, with 30 individual prizes each month. The prize pool for the year is €500,000. The draws for January, February and March will take place on March 28th. CLUB MEMBERSHIP
It has been decided that Club Membership for 2024 will be maintained at €50 for adults and €20 for OAPs/students. Membership can be paid to any committee member.
We now have the option for members to pay their membership online by logging in to Clubforce and searching for Castletownroche GAA. Please note that membership must be paid by March 31st, 2024, as per the rules of the association, in order to have full membership rights.
