'Fittest Superstars' launches in Kildorrery
Following on from the success of last year, Kildorrery GAA are once again staging 'Cork's Fittest Superstars' in association with Clare native, Davy Fitzgerald.
The 2024 event was formally launched in the Kildorrery GAA meeting room last Saturday evening. Davy said it was great to be back in Kildorrery.
"I think everyone really enjoyed last year, the club really got behind it and as a result, it was a brilliant success. Kildorrery comes across as a very progressive and vibrant community, we are all looking forward to more of the same this time round," he said.

Organisers are grateful to Sorensen and COBI Sports for their generous sponsorship of this year's 'Cork Fittest Superstars'. Sorensen were represented last Saturday by Marcus Browne. According to Marcus, the company are delighted to be able to assist.
"There's a huge amount of good work being done in Kildorrery, we were very happy with how things worked out last year and are delighted to be on board again," he said.
The fundraiser was also endorsed by Mayor of County Cork, Cllr. Frank O'Flynn.
"I've a lot of great friends in Kildorrery and they don't forget me when election time comes around. Davy Fitzgerald is a legend within GAA circles and he puts his heart and soul into everything he does. I've no doubt, it will be a runaway success," he told the large gathering.

'Cork's Fittest Superstars' takes place in Kildorrery on Saturday, 1st June. Teams must comprise one female, one participant over 35 and all participants must be over 16. More details on the event in future editions of The Avondhu.
