There are plenty of op­tions for busi­ness trav­ellers mak­ing their way to Lon­don’s key air­ports, so leave the car at home and con­sider an air­port ex­press in­stead. Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted air­ports each has a ded­i­cated ex­press ser­vice run­ning from cen­tral Lon­don but these of­ten run along­side reg­u­lar, of­ten much cheaper, rail op­tions.

Trav­ellers de­part­ing from Gatwick Air­port, for ex­am­ple, can head to the air­port on ser­vices from South­ern and Thames­link from across the South, as well as the high-speed Gatwick Ex­press ser­vice it­self. Jour­ney time: 15 min­utes to Ter­mi­nals 2 and 3; 21 min­utes to T5; and 19 min­utes to T4.
