LADIES FOOTBALL

Well done to Kilshannig Ladies Footballer Aisling Healy who scored a fantastic goal for Cork in the Munster Championship against Kerry in Castletownroche GAA. While Kerry Ladies Gaelic Football were victorious on the day, all from Kilshannig are very proud of Aisling’s achievement.

Congratulations to the Davis College Ladies Football Junior and Senior teams who both won a County Title this week. Many Kilshannig Ladies were included on the teams including: Emma O Regan, Sophie Tuohy, Emily O’Callaghan, Shauna Ring, Emma Barrett, Emma Jayne Young, Aoife Barrow, Lauren Singleton, Ivana Kiely and Sheila Kavanagh.

Congratulations to the Cork U14 Ladies team on retaining the U14 All Ireland Blitz title. Well done to all the team and mentors especially Kilshannig’s Aishling Sheehan, Jessica Barrett, Mairead O’Sullivan and Tadgh Buckley (Manager). Another first for the club having club members involved and claiming an All Ireland title.

Congratulations to Kilshannig Ladies Members who were honoured at the 2015 St Mary’s Secondary School Annual Awards Ceremony this week. Included in the awards were: Ellen Murphy–Attendance Award, Mairead O’Sullivan, Aishling Sheehan and Jessica Barrett (members of the Cork U14 panel)–U14 All Ireland Blitz Title and U14 Munster Title and Aisling Healy (member of Cork U16 panel)–Junior Football Award

The Kilshannig Ladies Under 14 team, with trainers Tim Ring and Mossie Leahy, and mentors Karen Noonan, Margaret Healy Cronin and Tracey Noonan, who were officially presented with a set of match jerseys, kindly sponsored by the Hibernian Hotel & Leisure Centre, Mallow. The presentation was made by Hotel Manager Kieran O’Driscoll, who was sincerely thanked for his support of this great team. Here’s to many years of success in the jerseys.
