Important to stay solution focussed

-

UNLESS you have been living on a secluded Island these past few years, you will have been exposed to an endless supply of bad news and uncertainty each time you switched on the television or opened a newspaper. So learning how to protect ourselves in the midst of all this negativity is crucial.

We all have questions we ask ourselves all the time and our brain is always coming up with answers for these questions, because that is its function; finding answers for your questions and supporting you.

Some people ask questions like, why is this happening to me? What is wrong with me? Why am I always doing this or getting this result? Or not getting what I want? All these are negative questions and your brain will automatically go in search of answers; negative answers, which will make you feel even more negative and more depressed.

Universal law states that what you put out you will get more of! Much like a magnet, negativity draws negativity. Blaming others or beating yourself up will only move you further away from finding a solution. Some people think that means to ignore what is going on. Burying your head in the sand is not a solution!

What I am saying is by staying focused on all that is wrong will not help you find a way forward. If anything is will keep you stuck. Nobody controls your feelings except you. Of course bad things happen, but by shifting your focus to a more positive perspective your energy levels and attitude will increase almost immediately.

During tough times, it is important that you ask yourself questions that are solution focused. How can I make it better? How can I be a better person? What do I need to do to get the result I want? These questions are solution and action focused and will not keep you stuck in the whirlpool of negativity.

Solution focused questions will empower you and will make your brain work and find positive answers, which will help you solve the problem and expand your knowledge, and even find opportunity during tough times.

You can train your brain to focus on the positive and react in a positive way, though you will need to practice. Begin your day with smart questions and answer each every morning – you will be amazed as to how things will begin to transform –

Some questions to get you started: - - What could I do today to feel more happy and excited? - What am I grateful for in my life? - What could I do to feel more grateful? - What am I proud of today? - What am I enjoying most in my life? - What can I do today to be a better person? - What can I do today to connect with people? - What can I do today to be healthy and take care of my body?

Another way to lift your spirits during difficult times is to give You don’t have to wait till you are able to give big things! A smile, hug, advice, friendship or just make someone feel good. Make it a habit to give something every day of your life, and see how much your life will change in a positive way!
