‘Support The Lads’ barbecue night in Murray’s

-

A Fundraiser for Ethiopia takes place in Murray’s this Friday, September 18 at 8pm.

There’s food, drinks, live entertainment and a raffle. Entry is €10 at the door.

All proceeds will go to Plan International Ireland’s work with children in Ethiopia.

Organised by Macroom GAA members, Philip Corrigan & Gerard Angland, who have completed a range of fundraisers to raise money to help towards children living in poverty in Ethiopia, the lads are going to visit Ethiopia with Plan Ireland this November to distribute the raised funds to the children living in poverty.

Whilst there, they are also going to complete in the 10K Great Ethiopian Run at 10,000ft through Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

Philip and Gerard are covering the personal cost of their visit, therefore all proceeds donated will go directly to the charity’s projects, some of which the lads will be visiting during their trip.

Bar owner and Dromahane NS Principal, Denis Murray says; “It’s great to see two youngfellas, so-called ‘Celtic Cubs’, a generation who get alot of negative press, get off their backsides to give their time to a cause like this. Delighted to support them”.

Futher details of the event can be found on www.facebook.com/supportthelads. Prize sponsors include Radisson BLU Hotel & Spa Limerick, Boots Pharmacy Macroom, Heineken and Aksoy Jewellers Cork.

All are welcome on the night, please support.
