HANDBALL

Boherbue handballers reached the All-Ireland Junior B club final for the first time in its history at Ballina in Tipperary on Saturday last when they defeated Loughrea of Galway in the semi final.

However, hours later they lost the final to local champions Lohorna who incidently got a walk over in their semi final, so the pressure was on Boher.

The winners were indeed a very good side but full credit to Boher–you did yourselves proud–reaching the All Ireland final while collecting County and Munster titles on the way is no mean achievement.

Team: Shane Flynn, Danny Lenihan, Daniel Moynihan, Enda Aherne and Kieran O’Connor.
