The Lotto was held on Monday, 2nd November at the Corbett Court. There was no winner of the Jackpot of €1800.

PARISH MISSION

A Parish Mission will be held from 30th April to 8th May 2016 in the Parish Church. It will be conducted by the Dominican Fathers from St. Saviour’s Priory Dublin under the direction of Father John Harris OP.

CEMETERY PRAYERS

Cemetery Prayers will be held on Sunday November 15th in Ballyhea New Cemetery after 11am Mass followed by Prayers in Imphrick, weather permitting.

SCÓR NA NÓG

The Avondhu Final of Scór Na Nóg will take place on Friday November 13th. The venue for the final is Castletown­roche Community Centre. The competitio­n will begin at 8pm. The competitio­ns are: Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Recitation, Instrument­al Music, Historical Presentati­on, Ballad Group, Set Dancing.

COMMUNITY ALERT

Ballyhea Community Alert have successful­ly set up a Text Alert Network to immediatel­y alert our community when an incident occurs. Prompt informatio­n to and from Gardaí deters criminal activity. CLUB MEMBERSHIP 2015

Membership for Adults €30, Students and Senior Citizens €20, Family Membership (2 Adults and juveniles Under 18) €80. Membership fee can be handed to Helen O’Sullivan or any Committee Member.

45 DRIVE

The 45 Drive will continue at the Corbett Court every Wednesday night at 9.15pm so all welcome.

SPEEDING

Speeding is still continuing at an alarming rate through the village. Please obey the speed limit! she tries to stop. It includes a gormless postman, a confused curate, a frightened husband and two nosiest neighbours. It has all the ingredient­s of a highly entertaini­ng evening. The show starts each night at 8pm, admission €10.

BINGO

Knocknagre­e Ladies Football Club held a very successful bingo fundraiser in Cullen Community Centre on Sunday last. They express their gratitude to all their sponsors, those who attended Cullen Community Centre. More details in next week’s notes.

COMMEMORAT­ION

The annual Sean Moylan commemorat­ion takes place in Kiskeam on this Sunday, November 15 commencing with 12 noon Mass for deceased members in the Church of the Sacred Heart.

This will be followed by a parade led by the Cullen Pipe Band to the cemetery where Micheal O Muircheart­aigh will give an oration. There will also be a decade of the Rosary recited and a wreath laying ceremony.

FEILE

Feile Sliabh Luachra moves to Knocknagre­e this Saturday, Nov 14 with open trad at various venues throughout the village. Beginning in the afternoon with young musicians, poetry, recitation and ballad groups.

On Sunday, Tureencahi­ll will have live music starting at 2pm in their new centre with dancing a variety of traditiona­l sets etc. Everyone welcome.
