CUCULLAINS (Kanturk) make the short journey to Banteer to face Inniscarra, with the Rebel Og Central U14 Prem 2 Hurling Championship at stake.

The Kanturk side had a one point victory over Iban Gaels and will be hoping to go one better than their football counterparts but Inniscarra are a very strong side and will pose a difficult test for Kanturk. The game is timed for 7.30pm. INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL: Kanturk Intermediate footballers are listed to play Mitchelstown in round 2A of the Cork Intermediate Football Championship at Charleville on Friday, 17th June at 7.45pm. INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Kanturk face Kilworth in the Cork PIHC round 2B at Ballyhea on Friday 24th June.

The game also has an alternative date of July 16th. It is hoped the date will be finalised in the coming week.

FEILE PEIL NA NOG: Plans are well under way for the hosting of the Feile Peil na nOg regional parade on Saturday 25th June from 7pm.

The parade will see 30 teams parade through Kanturk to the Town Park where a lark in the park will be held, by kind permission. The organising committee are seeking support by way of stewards etc. If you can help in any way contact Padraig Breen 086 1966745.

The fixtures for the Feile peil na Nog were announced last week and see Wolfe Tones (Kanturk) travel to Kilshannig on Friday 24th June to face the home side at 5pm, and Boyle at 6.30pm.

On Saturday morning 25th June, Kanturk face the side they host, Coralstown/Kinnegad at 11am.

There are quarter finals of cup and shield competitions later in the day at other venues for the teams that progress.
