Laochra Óg Round-up

-

Wednesday 1st June 2016: Well done to the Juniors who put up a great battle in the county championship in a very physical game where some very questionable decisions against us turned the game in the oppositions favour. What’s more important is that every player played hurling, held their heads and came off the field having represented the club with honour. Training continues next week and lots more hurling to be played.

Friday June 3: On a beautiful sunny evening in Teerbeg the second of the club’s set of camogie jerseys were presented. This time it was to the U8 team, kindly sponsored by Donal Mulcahy of Mulcahy Insurances Ltd. Other sponsors include U10 Matt Murphy and U12 Macroom Tidy Towns Group. Any girl wishing to join camogie is very welcome any Friday at 6.15pm.

Sunday June 5: The U9 Camogie girls had the first of their go game blitz’s in riverstick . They played three games in glorious weather. First off they played Sliabh Rua and were victorious. In the second game they played Enniskeane and were beaten in score only. It was a tough battle between the two teams and some great skill and determination were shown by both teams.

The third game was against Coursey Rovers, again this was a very fast moving game evenly contested by both teams but Loachra Óg were defeated in this one.

Guímíd rath ar gach éinne atá ag déanamh scrúdaithe an samhradh seo. Good luck to anyone doing exams this summer from all at Laochra Óg.
