DUBLIN singer, songwriter, musician and actor Don Baker, and musician and singer Clara Rose have included the Schoolyard Theatre in their Baker Rose tour of Ireland and will appear at the popular Charleville venue on Friday, June 17.

‘Baker Rose’ is the title of the duo’s new collaborative album which is a mixture of original songs written by Don Baker and Clara Rose. The renowned bluesman, harmonica player and guitarist has joined forces with this emerging unique vocalist and songwriter, Clara Rose.

The man affectionately known as ‘ The Don’ became a professional musician in 1973. His expressive skills on the harmonica have drawn accolades from artists as varied as Bono and Christy Moore. His recent role in the popular Irish soap ‘Fair City’ has cemented Baker into a household name.

Clara Rose has been writing and performing her original music for ten years. She has performed as a solo artist across Ireland, Europe and the USA. Her acclaimed solo releases led to her featuring as an artist on Don’s ‘My Song, My Friends’ album in 2013.

They present their collaborative album of original blues and home-grown country roots which promises to be a gorgeous exponent of the genres in this collaboration of kindred spirits. Booking for the show at Charleville’s Schoolyard Theatre is at 087-2530955 or 0871804870.
