FEILE 2016 PARADE IN KANTURK
THE Feile Parade is a big part of the Feile week end and the Parade is on in Kanturk on Sat. June 25th. What the organising committee wanted was to get the whole community involved with the parade in the hope of getting more people involved and in this case in Kanturk the Chamber Of Commerce & Community Council have joined forces with Kanturk GAA in organising the parade.
Hopefully we will have up to 30 Clubs being represented in the parade from Mallow Boys & Girls Teams, Buttevent, Duarigle Gaels ( Millstreet & Cullen Amalgamation), Kanturk in the Form of Wolfe Tones (Kanturk & Lismire Amalgamation) and the Kanturk Ladies Football team, Knocknagree Ladies, Banteer Ladies, Clondrohid, Donoughmore,Kildorrery, Aghabollogue, Kilshannig, Clyda Rovers (Mourneabbey), and all the clubs that they are hosting which are coming from all over Ireland.
This is a great chance for Kanturk town to promote itself as a great place to visit and to come and shop in, and that is why all the Local Organisations have come together in organising this week end where lots of people will be visiting the Town for the Parade as well as all the visiting teams that will be staying around North Cork.
In our promotion of this event we are marketing it as a North Cork Regional Event and not soley as a Kanturk event and that is represented on the organising committee which has a broad representation .
As a place to visit and view Kanturk has a lot to offer in 3 great Parks , Kanturk Castle as well as lots of Shops to browse through as well as lots of Restaurants, Coffee Shops & Café’s as well as other food outlets around the Town to treat yourself in.
Hopefully at some stage over the week end you may come and join us in the hosting of this great event which is all about young boys and girls playing and getting involved in Sport and making friends.
