Plenty to interest investors at Allsop online property auction

THE next online Allsop auction of residentia­l and commercial properties could provide potentiall­y rich pickings for investors with a bit of spare cash to spend.

A number of properties within the North and Mid- Cork areas are set to go under the hammer once bidding opens at 8am on Wednesday, July 13.

Among them will be a pair of vacant two-bedroom apartments at Chapel Street in the heart of Castletown­roche village. The apartments, each of which measures approximat­ely 46 sq metres come with an E1-E2 Building Energy Rating (BER), are situated over grounds and first floors.

They will be up for sale with a reserve range of €45,000 - €55,000.

A vacant detached four-bedroom bungalow at Meenachone­y, Donoughmor­e will go under the hammer with a reserve range of between €115,000 and €125,000.

The property extends to approximat­ely 104 sq metres, has external garage space, sizable gardens to the front and rear. It has a D2 BER rating.

Also up for auction on the day will be two plots of land at Glenacknoc­kane, Newmarket close to the Boggeragh Mountains Natural Reserve.

Described in the sale catalogue as “irregular shaped parcels of land” extending to a total site area of roughly 36 acres, they both have frontage to the R579 arterial road.

The plots will have a combined reserve of between €210,00 top €230,000.

Two units at the Blarney Business Park are on the auction catalogue with a reserve price range of between €65,000 to €85,000.

The vacant units incorporat­e shell and core office units, with a total floor area of 1,770 sq metres.

The final property up for grabs will be the landmark former Podsie O’Mahony Bar at Srelane Ovens.

The vacant single-story premises, which comes with a seven-day publican’s licence, has a bar/lounge area and a large separate function room.

It has a reserve range of €80,000 to €100,000.
