Banteer Show, family funday, and country market

THE 26th Annual Banteer Show, Country Market and Family Fun Day will take place in Banteer Community Centre on Sunday, July 17, commencing at 2pm.

There will be 55 Adult and 14 Children’s Classes and will cover vegetables, herbs, flowers and plants, baking, needlework, photograph­y, arts & crafts and many others. Adult Classes are €3 each to enter and Children’s Classes are €1 each.

Again this year, a special art category has been included for National School children. Children are invited to design a picture reflecting a choice of themes “Euro 2016” or “Ireland in 1916”. Pictures have to be hand-crafted - computer-generated designs will not be accepted.

There are two age categories, under 8 and under 13 and prizes for each age category are : 1st prize €25 voucher for Smyths Toystore, 2nd prize €15 voucher for Smyths Toystore and 3rd prize €10 voucher for Smyths Toystore. Entry is free.

Show entry forms are available at Banteer Post Office. Entries, accompanie­d by fees, can be handed into Banteer Post Office or sent to Juliet O’ Donoghue, Cois Doire, Banteer West, Banteer, phone (029) 56944. Entries for the Dog Show in aid of Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland will be taken on the day from 1.00 pm. and judging of this competitio­n commences at 2.00 pm. sharp.

Exhibits for the show should to be handed into Banteer Community Centre on Saturday evening July 16th at 8 pm or on Sunday morning July 17th before 11 am. Patrons should get there early to avoid the queues.

There will be numerous side shows on the day including, the 30 ft high Spider Climber with slide, Bouncing Castle, Super Slide, 60ft obstacle course, Outdoor Music, Pedal Cars, Pony Rides, Hook A Duck, Soccer Challenge and much more!

Family Fun for all generation­s is guaranteed this year at Banteer Show.
