A Seán O’Callaghan goal spurred on the Dromtarriffe attack to a 1-9 to 0.4 half time score line in the quarter final meeting with Rathpeacon at Kilmichael, however as the second half progressed it was the vital saves of Dermot Cremin added with some staunch defensive play from Shane McSweeney and Michael O’Gorman that saw Dromtarriffe seal the four point victory.
The match commenced with scores exchanged till a Seán Cremin pass found the path of O’Callaghan who finished to the net in the ninth minute. Seán Howard followed with three points added by Mark O’Connor and Daniel O’Keeffe white flags before a brace for Rathpeacon in the closing minutes of the opening half.

As the clock turned 30 Rathpeacon’s pressure finally was rewarded with a late goal, however Aaron Daly made the win secure with the final white flag as the whistle sounded Dromtarriffe 1-13 Rathpeacon 1-9.
