Fine performances by young heroes of Laochra Óg in a range of matches

-

MONDAY 4th July: Laochra Óg Under 10 team played away to Grenagh, our first league match in the campaign. It was a game of two halves. Laochra Óg played into a strong breeze in the first half and found it hard to get going with Grenagh scoring great points from out the field.

The start of the second half Laochra Óg got into the game scoring some great points and scoring a very good goal. All in all it was a good game for our boys with further challenges ahead. Thanks to Community bus CART and driver Peter Sweeney for taking the players to the game, and also parents for providing transport. Thanks to Under 10 Sponsor Folláin for their continuing support.

Junior “B” Muskerry Hurling League took place in Coachford between Laochra Óg and Aghabullogue. Aghabullogue were the winners on the day. Thanks to Aghabullogue GAA for hosting the event and to team sponsors Deasy’s Pharmacy for their continuing support.

Friday 8th July: Well done to our U8 camogie girls who played in a blitz in Kilbree. They played 3 matches, in tough conditions but improved as the games went on. We played Enniskeane in the first 2 games and final match was against Kilbree. Thanks to Paul from Enniskeane and Geraldine & Denis from Kilbree club and thanks to Kilbree who also provided fantastic refreshments for kids and parents after the games. This was the first time our new U8 jerseys that are kindly sponsored by Mulcahy Insurances Ltd Macroom were worn in a competitive fixture, many thanks Donal & Susan Mulcahy. Thanks to all trainers & parents for travelling.
