GAA night at the dogs is back
KANTURK GAA Club’s ‘Night at the Dogs’ will take place on Friday, August 19 at the Curraheen Greyhound Track.
The last time it was held was in August 2014 and it is still talked about as the social night of the year. A great family event, there’s local sponsored races, a donkey derby, and music
Kanturk now face an away tie with Croke Rovers at Kilbrin on a date to be finalised in a must win game to retain their interest in the competition. JUNIOR ‘B’ FOOTBALL: Kanturk made their exit from the Duhallow Junior ‘B’ football championship losing out to Knocknagree on Friday 8th July on the slenderest of margins.
Knocknagree had home advantage but Kanturk took the game to them and two goals set Kanturk up for victory but Knocknagree had other ideas entertainment on the night.
Tickets are now on sale at €10 each including admission and race programme, a family ticket costs €20 for two adults - and free admission for children under 16.

It was great to see John Mc Loughlin gain a place on the Cork Senior footballer’s subs bench for their victory over Limerick on Saturday last and now Cork face a difficult tie away to Longford on Saturday 16th July.
