UNDER-14 PEILE NA NOG

This tournament was celebrated in style on the last weekendof June in Clondrohid., great crowds, great football and no rain.

All the visiting teams were amazed with the excellent facilities available to them, the welcome, and the catering provided by the club, including some great entertainment in the marquee for all the young folk.

A sincere THANK YOU to one and all and to the many business who sponsored the event. Clondrohid exited the tournament at the quarter final stages, but thanks to all the team and their mentors for some excellent matches played over the last few months. Well done.

WEDDING OF THE YEAR

When Angie proposed to Gene on February 29 (Leap Year ), little did they realise what a resounding success their ‘Mock Wedding’ would be. It took place on Saturday, July 2, in sun drenched Clondrohid at the Bell Inn.

It was open invitation and a large crowd from far and near turned out to witness this event, all funds raised are for the local Macroom Hosp and St Colman’s House. The bride, the groom, bridesmaids and best men, the parents of the bride and groom all looked elegant in their refinery.

All work was done voluntary by the locals preparing and serving food supplied by Healys. The photographer, video man, flower arranger, Franc, and taxi man all played their part, music excellent, the dancing, the craic went on late into the night A
