Trailing by eight points, Newmarket instigated a timely comeback, Donal Hannon’s delivery allowed Jamie Hayes flick to the net to reduce the arrears 1-12 to 2-6.

Into the second half, Newmarket continued to press, Alan Ryan setting up Rohan for his second goal.

Newmarket’s influence on the game grew driven on by the outstanding Ryan, supported by Jack Guiney, Kevin O’Sullivan and Hannon.

A Conor O’Keeffe point squared up the game before Hannon pointed delightfully from two sideline balls at either side. Kilbrin refused to be ruffled and with county player Egan clearing an amount of ball, they were back on track once Stephen O’Reilly performed the spadework for Daly to goal.

The cheering had hardly subsided, Eoin Sheahan, the creator for Daly to raise the green flag again. From there on, the result wasn’t going to be disrupted and points to O’Reilly and Daly rubberstamped victory into the final against Banteer this Sunday.
