PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK

The Annual Pilgrimage to Knock on August 15, Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, was a great success. 29 people travelled on the bus, which has become known as “Nell’s Bus”, in recognition of Nell Kelleher, who organised it for so many years. The group was from a large spread of parishes throughout Cloyne and Cork + Ross and the Diocese of Kerry was also represented. A number of people who wished to join the pilgrimage were unable to go on this occasion but numbers were still well up since last year so it’s onwards and upwards for Knock on this very special day. The Rosaries and other prayers recited were offered for the needs and intentions of everyone and for relatives, neighbours and friends in need of healing, and those who travelled so often during the years, but can no longer make the pilgrimage, were also remembered

A prayerful and enjoyable day with glorious sunshine made it a memorable day for all.

Knock is visited by 1.5 million people every year
