Avondhu Blackwater Partnership CLG Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme
AVONDHU Blackwater Partnership CLG works closely with Le Cheile FRC staff to deliver the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) in Mallow.
Avondhu Blackwater Partnership CLG has two dedicated Development Officers working from Le Cheile FRC delivering the SICAP Programme every Tuesday and Thursday (by appointment only). We provide one to one support and guidance to people experiencing unemployment and who are actively job seeking (including but not necessarily those on the live register). This service is fully subsided by the SICAP Programme and is free of charge to the service user.
The support service offers an opportunity, for each person to discuss their needs and to develop a personal action plan for further education, training or employment.

There are two specific programmes planned for the Autumn, based in Mallow
‘Effective Job Search Skills’
‘Effective Job Search Skills’ will focus specifically on supporting young people under the age of 25 who are experiencing unemployment. The initiative will focus on helping participants to develop their progression plans, by focusing on setting personal goals, identifying areas of opportunities and helping them map out an education / training and / or employment path.
(If you are a job seeker considering embarking on self-employment we can link to the supports you may need)
‘Committee Skills Training’
Avondhu Blackwater Partnership CLG also works communities to address area and issue based needs. The community engagement strategy involves planning and engaging with new and existing community groups in identified areas of disadvantage.
This work is concerned with developing the capacity and confidence of the key players within these communities to address issues / needs in their own areas.
We are currently planning ‘Committee Skills Training’ for communities who are part of existing or new groups for Autumn 2016.
