PAT KEARNEY R.I.P.

THERE was much sadness in the community at the news of the passing of Pat Kearney at Mallow General Hospital on Thursday, September 8.

A native of Newtown, Pat lived in Woodview Drive and was a renowned community man who was very much involved in many events in the area. He was also a great neighbour and was always willing to assist friends and neighbours in many ways including driving people to many destinatio­ns.

In her very warm eulogy, Ann O’Mahony said Pat, who was a non drinker and non smoker, was a wonderful family man and a great friend to many, and loved his game of 45.

Pat is survived by his partner, Mandy, children and step children Denis, Christophe­r, Siobhan, Elizabeth, Thomas and Amy, former wife Margaret, sister Mary Cremin, relations and a large circle of friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 2pm on Monday, September 12 followed by cremation at the Island Crematoriu­m, Ringaskidd­y.

To the Keaney family we extend our sincere sympathy. THE death took place on Tuesday, September 6 of Jim Culloty following an accident. Formerly of Canon Sheehan Place, Jim, who lived in Waterloo, is survived by his wife Catherine, (nèe Kelly) son Kevin and daughter Lisa (Riordan), brother Gerard, sisters Una (O’Leary) and Norma (O’Sullivan) relations, neighbours and many friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. John The Baptist Church in Ballycloug­h at 12 noon on Monday, September 12 followed by burial in Ballydesmo­nd Cemetery.

To the Culloty family we express our deepest sympathy.

DENIS SHEAHAN R.I.P.

THE death took place on Friday, September 9 of Denis Sheahan at his residence in Mount Ruby.

Formerly of Kildorrery, he is predecease­d by his brother Seamus, sister Joan and baby son Denis and survived by his wife Patricia (nèe Barry) sons Don and Donagh, daughters Catherine, Constance (Leahy),Veronica (Molloy), Rachael (Buckley) and Aisling Walsh, sisters Philomena, Vera, Nellie, Kathleen and Susie, relations and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church on Monday, September 12 at 3pm followed by burial in Kildorrery Cemetery.

To the Sheahan family we extend our deepest condolence­s.
