Ballygiblin hurlers beaten on the double
THE Ballygiblin Junior A and Junior B hurlers lost out in semi-finals of the divisional championships over the past weekend.
On Saturday evening the Junior A side faced Ballyhooly in Kilworth in the semi-final.
Following a close game where the sides were level on seven occasions including half time, 2- 4 to 0-10, Ballygiblin eventually lost out by 0-20 to 3 – 9.

On Sunday the Junior B hurlers faced a stiff test against Mallow in the JBHC(2) semi-final in Castletownroche.
Mallow, as expected, were far too strong and were out of sight at half time when leading 7-12 to 0- 6.
The second half was much the same with Mallow advancing to the final on a final scoreline of 8-25 to 0- 6.

The Minor A hurlers are due to meet St Catherine’s in the county quarter final this Saturday.
